The Purple Cow Crazy Scientist STUFF Polymer Snow kit is a hands-on STEM activity set that lets kids create instant artificial snow using a polymer science experiment. Part of the Crazy Scientist STUFF range (style code PCCS3477), it introduces the real-world chemistry behind superabsorbent polymers in a format that's straightforward to set up and genuinely engaging. The snow-like material expands dramatically on contact with water, making the reaction visually striking and easy to understand.
Key Features
- Uses superabsorbent polymer science to produce a fluffy, snow-like material that expands when water is added.
- Teaches core STEM concepts including polymer chemistry and material properties through direct experimentation.
- Self-contained activity designed for independent or guided use — no specialist equipment required.
- Part of Purple Cow's Crazy Scientist STUFF series, which focuses on tactile, reaction-based science experiences.
